Please verify your post

So, you've added a post to someones blog, click the 'post' button and it asks you to verify using a series of letters and/or numbers.

Trouble is, they are sometimes so unrecognisable - I mean, there are times when I haven't got a clue as to what they are - and my eyesight is perfect.

God knows how people with poorer eyesight than mine manage - probably with difficulty.

I appreciate that you have to stop auto computer programmes that spam posts but there must be a better way???

Sad thing is, even with the captcha (the jumbled letters that are hardly legible), a skilled programmer can defeat it pretty easily. No one has come up with a much better way to do it though. c'est la vie.

Thanks for visiting my blog! I've added you to my blogroll as well.
